At the NPPL event in San Diego, Joy Division was joined by fellow DraXxuS Team, the Miami Raiders, who wore VForce Profiler goggles on their way to their Semi-Pro victory. Adding to the celebration, Division One was populated by DraXxuS teams as hometown favorites San Diego Aftermath defeated fellow DraXxuS Hellfire shooters, Faction, for first place, with Sin bringing up fourth in the division after playing several preliminary round games with only six players, after an injury sidelined one member of their squad. In Division Three competition, Team Drama shot DraXxuS paintballs on their way to first place as well!

In Division III, Drama tied with 1 Up Kids in the first match up and then won the second. Knowing that all they ended to do was win on bodies in the third match, Drama took the snake and defended it until time ran out, putting them against Triple X in the finals. Triple X beat out redline by winning 2 of the three games. Redline, still wrought from their loss, lost their first match to 1 Up Kids, but then got their act together and wound up winning the next two and putting them in the third place finish. Drama, with their new DM6 markers, took to the NPPL main field and in two swift games, ripped Triple X apart and won their first NPPL victory. Look for big things from this team in the future.

Drama Paintball showed a vast improvement as they defeated Triple “X” in Division III. This was the first time to the finals for both teams. Leading into the Commander’s Cup OC, Drama are ranked #3 over all with 1 Up Kids and Misfit Militia leading the pack. The NPPL also hosted a Young Guns and College division on Sunday. The Young Guns played a 3-player format where Bear’s Gold walked away the winners. The College division ended up with two teams from the same school, UC Irvine, taking first and second.
